No, we won't blow you out and you very well may beat us but if it is close in the 4th quarter I feel very confident in believing that State will find a way to choke the game away.

You also still have Chad Bumphis. He seems to only be able to catch the ball against Jackson State, Alcorn State, and Ole Miss. I have seen him drop more easy passes than any other "big name" receiver.
That said, I still hope MSU wins. (Partially because I'm still pissed at Auburn for not covering last week, and partially because I enjoy watching Auburn lose)

Seriously? I don't have a problem with someone picking MSU because to me, this game is really kind of a tossup...because of what we don't know about State at this point. But this is a pretty dumb reason for it to happen. Auburn had a green, far less talented QB last year too and Auburn won. MSU had an experienced QB that the coaches considered better than States new (at least somewhat) green quarterback and Auburn won. Auburn had less talent and experience everywhere but running back last year and Auburn still won.
I do not expect this to be a high scoring game...if State wins, it will be because their defense is as good as the State fans think it is. Simple as that.

No informed Mississippi State fan believes that Chad Bumphis is a big name receiver. He caught plenty of passes freshman year, but at the time he was the only thing we had. Now he is easily the 3rd most talented receiver on the team behind Joe Morrow and Chris Smith. Not counting TE's.
