Just for reference, because I see other people post this shite too. Guys don't get triple teamed on the DL. If you see it, it's a mistake, 2 other guys aren't getting blocked.

What would you call this?

Or this?

Guys who missed their assignment and helped out with the nearest man. Or at least one guy who just picked up the wrong block from the word go. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm saying it isn't designed to happen.

You're exactly right. Designed triple teams aren't a thing.

In 25 games ( almost 2 full seasons) MD had 20 TFLs and 11 sacks. He also played in a 3-4 defense.

He also had 20 QB Hurries and 6 PBU to go with those 20 TFL and 11 sacks. Playing in a 3-4.

Nkemdiche isn't in Dareus' league.

I think Nkemdiche could have done more, yes, no doubt. But he did play quite well against Bama. And all this is spot on.

While I certainly think Nkemdiche could have been more dominant, he still takes up all of the attention of the opposing offensive line coach and coordinator. Yeah Reed had more tackles, but please tell me you don't think he is actually a better player? Alabama does have one of the best front 7s in college that I can remember, but that is because the entire group is good. Besides Nkemdiche and Haynes, are front 6/7 is not very good. Can't penalize Nkemdiche because he gets double teamed because he's not next to Robinson and Allen, with Ragland behind him.

Robert Nkemdiche has been a great player for Ole Miss. People who know football know this. So that's that. Hate on.

Weren't y'all trying to discredit the All-SEC selections last year because the coaches left off Tunsil?

It probably just all depends on what year it is and who's winning.

It's okay if you think he should have been better. No one cares.

I've started a total of 80 threads since July. A grand total of 4 of those have been directed towards or about Ole Miss. Don't flatter yourself, bud.

Well seeing as Tunsil missed over half the year, I don't know why anyone would do that.

29 tackles in 11 games? frick I had 29 tackles in the first half of a game I played. 11 for loss. Granted it was a shite team like Memphis or something.

So you're saying you accounted for nearly 75% of all the tackles in the first half? Seems unlikely that the team ran more than 80 plays over the entire game, so if I break that up to 40/40, 29 is just about 3/4... You must have been a facking monster man.

His impact on the game was much bigger than 3 tackles. Big Rob's Impact doesn't show up on that stat sheet so if you aren't watching him often it's hard to see his dominance.

quote:

That being said he's still raw and is as much potential as proven at this point. But that's just because there is so damn much potential.

Dominant players dominate. At the end of the day, if 3 seasons worth of stats don't really support it, it's hard to make a case that he's as good as advertised. It doesn't change that he has a really fricking high ceiling... as a matter of fact, I'd say it's more of an indictment on the defensive staff at Ole Miss that they haven't developed him to that potential. All SEC implies that he performed better than everyone else at the position, not that he has more potential than everyone else at the position.
