Words like “program” and “development” no longer apply.

Maybe for you and the other poorest.

Having money doesn’t always equal success. Especially when you waste a million dollars on a tackle that pass blocks like a turnstile machine. Hope your quarterback is tough

Texas & Ohio State are having the same issues. The mid tier programs are going to be able to put together some lethal one year rental rosters if they’re smart.

In terms of starts this season by players they recruited out of hight school, 9 out of the 12 playoff teams were at least 50 percent.
Words like “program” and “development” no longer apply might be a little overdramatic.

Did A&M give Wilkin Formby $1 million dollars?
Tell me they didn’t. Please.

It’s more the unregulated transfer portal causing the 52 card pickup, but, yeah, it’s ridiculous

Now do the final 4. Every single one is starting a transfer QB. Ole Miss and Indiana are both over 60% of starters as transfers. 50% is a pretty low threshold to begin with.

I appreciate the reply, but wonder how any team can develop continuity and cohesion. The NFL has been focused on the individual for decades. This is a somewhat new dynamic for college football. I understand it’s here to stay, but it’s not nearly as enjoyable to watch.

Yeah, with all your supposed riches, you’ve won the same amount of playoff games and SEC championships as Mizzou. And we’ve actually appeared in more SEC championships.

Yep.
I loved college football for its regional flare and the fact that you got to enjoy elite players for 3-4 years before they moved onto the NFL. All the while the head coach provided an overarching continuity. Nowadays I don't even bother learning the roster because I know it's going to change from year to year.

UGA has lost 8 so far. Only one could be considered a contributor.
He is a safety. We just took Clemson's former Freshman All-American to replace him, so it's a wash.

I’m definitely losing interest in this free-for-all every day.

Damn……
I was outside a medical office today and saw an old woman getting transferred from a wheelchair to a medical transport van who had quicker feet and more upper body strength than Wilkin Formby.

The NFL is far more stable. Multi-year contracts, penalties for tampering, a salary cap. Just go ahead and follow the lead of the NFL. Because what we have will ruin the sport. The genie is out of the bottle in terms of paying players. So make it a contract based arrangement with rules.
