99% of college football players in America don’t care in the slightest about the name on the front of their jersey.
That includes the small schools.
This sport is in serious trouble without massive rule changes. Players have all of the benefits with zero responsibility. That isn’t sustainable

That’s an exaggeration. But expecting a kid from Long Beach to love Knoxville just because you offered him $8 mill on potential alone out of HS was and is foolish. If they don’t hve a regional tie, they’re a flight risk you’re likely going to have to pay to mitigate and keep happy

I think that is true for most of them except for the service academies (lke AF, Navy and Army). Those guys I believe have a commitment unlike anything else in college athletics. Mucho respect for those guys.
