That could be said for other SEC teams that had many weaknesses. Bama isn't the only SEC team that can improve.

I wouldn’t say it was a rebuilding year, I’d say it was a reloading year with great but inexperienced talent. Bama has that luxury to come back with similar talent each year with little drop off.

Not a bad problem to have.

Trying to find something definitive.

How many starters does Bama have back and I guess, how many new starters were starters somewhere else last season (Ricks, Gibbs, Burton I know of)

Where are Bama fans concerned going into the year?

Bama improving from a year they won the SEC and went to a national championship is a little different from Arkansas improving to a 10 win season.

Yet it was a disappointing and unsatisfactory year for most Bama fans. And for all Bama hater’s.

So Bama will improve enough that it will just be easy wins in the SEC this year?

If Bama has a good to great OLine I don't see many games being close considering the veteran roster, especially on defense.

If the OLine sucks again I don't expect Bama to cruise to Atlanta by any stretch.

•O-Line was genuinely terrible at points last year and we lost a Top-10 pick at left tackle

•Need a playmaker or two to emerge at wideout

•Not necessarily an area of need, but it would be nice if McKinstry went from good to great this year at Corner

We’ll be very good next year. The first two bullets are what will decide if it’s a great team

Yea OL was weird in that you have so much talent and none of them took over

Assume that is why you got Burton for WR

Is DL a concern? I only ask because all OSU fans have complained about all offseason is that we don't have 330 lbs tackles like UGA and Bama do. Bama's starting DL looks a bit light this season just based on depth chart numbers I could find

You're right. They were lucky to even make the SECCG had the brain dead Auburn running back not run out of bounds in the closing minutes of the IB.

We actually had already clinched the West at that point

No need to bring Fournettes career rushing total vs Bama into this thread.

It honestly was, this was always Bamas year. Last years team was very good but not great by SEC standards, I said from beginning that young defense and Oline were issues and that’s what really cost them the title. This team should be much better but so is most all the SEC, they will win the west but they will probably still drop a game on the road, it’s just impossible to be on fire playing lights out and motivated every single week. It was really one of Saban’s best coaching jobs, I still don’t know how they blocked so well in the SEC championship game vs Georgia.

If you don't think last year was a rebuilding year with several weaknesses, just watch what happens this year.

Alabama is already 0-1 this year (2022).
