A thread to discuss if Saban (GOAT) will make it to 10. Y

Saban has established the best organization and system in college football and attracts the best talent top to bottom providing depth. Each position is typically strong every year and injuries do not tend to slow them down due to depth at each position {exception 2019 depth at LB and DL}.

So as long as he continues to separate BAMA from the pack BAMA will win as many championships as long as Saban stays and his coach in waiting continues the same system

Doesn't win this year, but has back to back 15-0 seasons in 22 and 23. He retires after the 23 season.

Nah man. No way he retires with a chance to threepeat.

Saban has already indirectly announced his retirement date from CFB.

"The NCAA Board of Governors voted unanimously to extend President Mark Emmert's contract to Dec. 31, 2025."

I think he coaches for another 3-4 years before retiring. Maybe he can win 1 or 2 NCs by that time.

He's got another decade in him at least (health permitting). NIL, free transfers and playoff expansion will make things easier for him (as if he needed the help )

I actually think it's harder now than it was. You used to could win the NC with great defense and a solid offense. Now I think you need a super QB and super elite WRs to score at the flip of a switch. I also believe Tua and Mac were both incredibly rare talents that we're not going to get every year. Maybe we can get 3 very good WR's but I'm not sure we'll have it as good as we did the last 2 years. The good thing for us is with as much overall team talent that we usually get we'll probably have enough to get it done once or twice again. But, it might not be at a 50% clip like the last 12 years.

Bama fans certainly care, many of y’all base your personal self worth on gump football.

The NCAA has allowed a “recruiting” monopoly to happen. I guess they like seeing Alabama, Clemson and Ohio state in the playoffs every year.

I fully expect to see Saban win like 10 more championships because of what he’s allowed to do. It will be riveting seeing half-empty Bryant Denny stadium 62-0 in the 2nd quarter, even after covid restrictions have been lifted.

So the OP's title seems to suggest that title #8 and #9 are pretty much a given.

But to entertain the question... I'll say NO to reaching 10.

As long as you continue to outrecruit the competition plus on top of that you can go out and get transfers with the promise of being in the playoffs
It's going to be a blood bath when coaching changes happen

Truth be told, the hyperbolic (and oftentimes hypocritical) statements about Bama fans and conspiracy theorist rationalizations by other fan bases are as pleasing at this point as the NCs.

More like apathy has set in heavily into college football, but enjoy your team.
