Because it is not true. The idiot that retweeted it changed it.
Here is the original tweet as she actually stated that CNS gave neither a glowing or bad review. Big difference and not upset he did not pump sunshine up their butts.

So then the committee asked Fred Smith to get involved, Smith called Nick Saban who did not give McElwain a bad nor glowing review...

If a strip club called and wanted a review for your daughter, would you give them a glowing review? Saban saved McElwain from a career destroying decision.

McElwain better get a new agent. This is like when Diddy offered to let Shine or whatever his name was use his lawyer.

According to @laurenleefox13, Nick Saban didn't give Jim McElwain a "glowing" review to Fred Smith. That helped move Memphis off the Bama OC

@laurenleefox13 Lauren Lee The main reason Memphis moved away from McElwain was contentious negotiations with Sexton. Fred Smith's call to Saban sealed the deal.

According to most accounts he never was worth a shite to work for.

Why would he do this? Did he say..."you're not fricking up my championship, McElwain."
He probably doesnt think hes ready. The SAban tree has struggled, I believe most werent ready for the job....that I blame some on Saban and his dictator ways.. Which are good for Alabama but not so good for his assistants.

He should hire Master P to be his agent like Ricky Williams did.

And you think this makes a good boss? Or a happy employee?

If Nick did not think the Memphis job was right for McElwain, then he should have taken that up with McElwain..
I would find it hard to work for someone with Saban's attitude toward people.

It makes for a great coach. Two titles already and playing for a third. Can't argue those numbers.

Saban has a great history when it comes to these kinds of things.
-Bill Parcells (yes Bill Parcells) was set to take the Kentucky job while Saban was at LSU. He called Nick and Nick said don't do it, that job is horrible. Parcells backed out. Surely Nick was only looking out for his friend and not trying to keep a great coach out of the SEC.
-When Saban left LSU, he recommended to administration that Houston Nutt replace him. Surely he was trying to find LSU the right guy for the job since he loved the school and not just finding a below average coach who by failing would make Nick's legend grow.
-Now he poopoos McElwain's probably first and only chance to get a decent D-1 HC gig. Surely, this was about giving a fair recommendation and getting his guy in the right job and not about messing up Nick's bowl prep.

You totally dodged the question.

So hold on here...Are we still trying to establish the fact that Saban is a dick?
Posted on 12/8/11 at 10:55 am to Maximus
Gee, Saban opting for self-interest over integrity, I'll alert the media.
And we wondered why Skip didn't bust a nut trying to hold on to Little Nicky.
"Don't let the door hit you in the arse, little man".

No I didn't. It is all part of the process.
He has done the same to former players

I'm sure this is 100% verifiable info, and will be scrutinized appropriately by the posters of the SEC Rant.
While the Gumps continue to sail down denial.
Bon Voyage!
