Kirk Cousins is projected as the #5 QB in the NFL draft

I was going to state this, but for some reason...I thought he had fallen down. I did see some scout think he could be one of the bests prospects outside of RGIII and Luck.

Hightower- May be too slow to play LB at next level

32. Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama: Massive and instinctive, Hightower ranks as the top inside linebacker in the draft by some clubs -- ahead of Kuechly due to the greater "pop" he'll provide as a run-plugger. Hightower is making a late charge up draft boards due to the fact that during film review scouts have noticed how much faster Hightower was in the second half of last season than the first -- a sign that he's recovered fully from the torn ACL which ended his 2009 season after just four starts.

I lived in Baton Rouge for a while. So don't try to convince me of how safe it is in the general area around LSU's campus. I know shite happens on The Strip from time to time, but that is hardly a reason for a LSU fan to talk shite considering.

Exactly.

Not a very deep draft at QB this year. Again, the SEC's QB play the last three years has been very poor. The only real QBs worth noting were: Tebow, Cam, Mallett and Murray (maybe Wilson). Bama's secondary could be blamed for all of their losses the last three years.

Four losses in the last three years?

I'll take that everyday and fricking twice on Sundays.

And the QBs of those four loses were:

Garcia
Lee
Cam
Jefferson

The only QB worth anything in that bunch was Cam, yet two of the other three still torched that secondary. If the SEC had any decent QBs during that period, it might have been a different story.

No, it couldn't (go back and watch the '11 LSU game and tell me the secondary is to blame). And I doubt there's a team in the country with better pass effeciency defense averaged over the last 3 years. But I'm sure that's just because of the QBs they've faced.

How did that WR get so open before halftime ? If Les had not been so uptight, there might not have been a need for overtime. And yes you answered your own question. The SEC's QB play the last 3 years have sucked, with only a few exceptions.

Lol, alright dude. It's obvious you're not budging from your stated opinion. Bama's DBs are to blame in a game in which they gave up 91 yards passing, 0 TDs, and had 2 picks AND Bama's kickers missed more FGs than I care to remember.

And since your chief arguement appears to be the weak QB play in the SEC, then I assume you believe that Peterson, Claiborne, and Jenkins are similarly over-rated and shouldn't be high picks, correct?

We play in the strongest division of the best conference in the country. Maybe the dominance and strength of SEC defenses make the SEC QBs appear to suck? IMO, there are several SEC QB's that have been just fine Tebow/Newton/Mallet/Stafford/Wilson....

Not to mention Jarret Lee was leading the SEC in pass efficiency before Bama's secondary buried his arse on the bench permanntly.

Thank you!

I think the SEC has turned out some damn fine QB's over the past few years. To say they suck is just ridiculous.

Please name the top 5 QBs for 10 and 11. Three good QBs over a two year period would fall under the definition of sucking.

LOL @ all the jelly rival fans trying to spin 9 first rounders in 2 years as a negative. The recruits see, they love, they come! Bama isn't going anywhere!
