They hit 137 dB on Saturday beating the previous record of 133.6 set in 1992.

Pretty sure that was from Dolly Parton strangling the cat.

Honestly I don't believe that number at all. Considering that decibels are on a base 10 exponential scale and a chain saw is 110db.
You're telling me that Neyland was over 100x louder than a chainsaw? Yeah right

Loud stadiums can’t make up for poor execution.

That brief moment in time lasted how long?

Even Dolly Parton singing "Rocky Top" at the end of the 1st quarter couldn't get in sync with the Tennessee Marching Band!! LINK

As the game wore on that decibel got lower and lower. By the fourth quarter it was like being at Vandy. I loved those spotlights searching the stands. They were looking for the 3 UT fans who were still there. Word had it they were too drunk to walk out or they would have left already.

Worst stadium in the SEC. Worst fans in the entire country.

You are very observing. 3 of those 4 losses have game to teams in the top 9 and on the road. That’s exactly why they are still ranked in the CFP and AP poll.

The Vols are in year 3 of a total rebuild under Heupels. The Vols barley had top 25 team talent when Heupel took over a team that was 3-7. Not only was they 3-7, they had 35 transfers and had to vacate 28 scholarships. Without being able to sign full classes under Heupel so far, it has limited the depth of the team. Last year was LSU best year to beat UT going forward and they got blown out. Once the Depth is fixed the Vols will be hell every year under Heupel. Year 4 and 5 will be when everyone can start judging Heupel as he will have all his recruits then. The mess he took over and limited scholarships, it wasn’t going to get fixed in 3 years.

But say what you want about the Vols, but they have been more successful in Heupel time as LSU in that same time span. Now that divisions are going away, I don’t expect LSU to make to Atlanta again in my lifetime. LSU made it to Atlanta last year because the rules hadn’t changed yet. If the divisions were gone last year, LSU would have been sitting at home watching the game.

poor execution.

And poor execution is a product of not having any depth. UT team talent since Heupel took over was #19, #19, and #16 in the country. It’s going to take longer than 3 years to fix what he took over. He took over the worse team in UT history. Let’s see how it goes in years 4 and 5 when he has depth and his recruits at every position.

Hell no! I couldn’t be any happier than I am today. Spending the holidays with family and friends and now watching the Cowboys drag Washington in the same fashion UT did to LSU.
