No one has said it was a fluke that I have seen, but you tied the game with 4:30 to go and won it with a FG and no time on the clock.

If that isn't the definition of a last minute win, then please tell me what is?

So not a fluke, but definitely last minute.

It was a good game and if you want me to say A&M is the better team here I go.

A&M is the better team.

Now admit UF was the better team in 2012.

Pump the breaks chief. Yes, y'all won, and well. But in the 4th quarter we were one pick (that was dropped) to making that a one score game. I know, woulda coulda. The best team won, but I'm pretty sure y'all were still "playing" in the second half.

Even with our "new" QB I think y'all would probably have won. Just sayin were not just a heap of crap.

Exactly, no one is making the point of a fluke, it's the fact that it was only a field goal at home in the beginning of the season.

That's why Ole Miss isn't ranked #1 in 2008.

That's why Auburn isn't ranked #1 in 2006.

I get their argument, but they also omit in their body of work:

Struggling against Vanderbilt.

Struggling against a depleted LSU team with a true freshman QB at home.

The only really good win they have is against Florida and by a last second field goal, also at home.

In the end, we're crushing everyone that plays us ever since our loss to A&M.

There hasn't been a game closer than 16 points since then.

Ask Mississippi State fans what Mullen does with large score differentials. I know it sucks to think about, but Florida really did put their foot on the brake and just packed it in at halftime.

Stupid decision making, but if you think we couldn't do anything more after putting up 38 in a single half, I don't know what else to say.

Fate helped too, sparky. Y'all got a Covid break and were rested up when y'all played us. We had injuries (but thems the breaks). It'll all come out in the wash with ATM if y'all are that good. Don't choke and y'all are golden, even if Bama wins in the SECCG.

I think auburn should be ranked. They would likely beat at least 5-6 teams that are ranked.

Didn't Carolina beat Auburn?

Trask has improved since week 1 and Mond has digressed.
The word is "regressed," unless Mond changed the subject of the discussion. Otherwise I agree.

Florida probably deserves to be ranked above TAMU after that shitshow last night.

I mean, they dragged you guys, too. So it's kind of a moot point.

Not so much.

Sure, they beat us like a redheaded stepchild, and they will do the same to you. And we will end the season with one loss ... to Alabama. Y'all will finish the season with two losses ... to Alabama, and to us.

That won't look "moot" to the Committee or the Bowls.

Still, this week, you probably should be ranked above us. We looked like run-over dog feces last night.

How will the coaches vote when Alabama runs Florida out of the stadium?

Right after A&M fumbled and Florida scored a touchdown off it. What's your point?

It means that aggy fumbles are worse than ours, and rightly so.

Q...What has Florida done to pass A&M on their resume that trumps head to head? Let’s hear an argument. Or are you just whining?

A...We’re not aggy.

These are all dogshit excuses.

Georgia is ranked first in the country with talent, that's the point of recruiting all of that talent -- so injuries don't make a difference.

Mullen got Kirby, that's it. He threw the same wheel route 9 times and found a fundamental flaw in Kirby's defense and exploited it over and over again, giving Trask his highest yardage output ever.

It's not like you guys were a field goal away at home at the end of the game or anything.

The rest of your post is pretty stupid, but this is a great point.

Apparently this is a hard enough concept to grasp. As for how the committee sees it: All we have to do is keep it within two scores and we've already outpaced Aggy against Alabama.

Teams can't ride one solitary win at home with a last second field goal in the beginning of the year.

You're trying to squeeze the lemon, but there just ain't no juice left, chief. You guys gotta look good all year.

This is just wrong. People think that Florida is better, but A&M proved it on the field. Voters allow their opinions to matter far too much today. Not to mention that it's always the same teams that receive the benefit of doubt.

I'm not saying that voters are wrong to think that Florida is better, but your record has to be worth something. Florida didn't get it done on the field and that's supposed to matter. It certainly would if it were Missouri, Kentucky or Arkansas, so it should with Florida, too.

Prob but it's one game

Fla was supposed to lose to Georgia after 14 down out the gate. If the ball bounces the gators like it did for Mcelwain teams. Theres a shot

Also LSU fans have to be mad af #14 wasnt put in earlier. Everything was all bad. Till he came in

Then boom easy TD drive

Oh so head to head should matter. OK please explain why A&M is ahead of Florida here.

2012 Final Rankings

The explanation is that Florida was soundly beat by a mediocre Louisville squad in its bowl game while A&M completely crushed the #12 ranked Sooners.

I agree that a complete body of work matters for the final ranking. As of now there is no difference between the two teams besides A&M losing to the #1 team in the country for its single loss and Florida losing to A&M for its only loss.

We lose to Auburn and this all is academic. If both team win out but you all lose to Bama in the title game then the choice is all but obvious for voters.

Clearly people think Florida is winning in a more decisive fashion and has won better games.

We have lost one game by 3 points.

We have won our games by 14+ points at the least. We have had one close game.

You guys barely beat a winless Vanderbilt team.

You scraped by against an atrocious LSU team last night. I actually like LSU a lot, but they lost practically their entire team, plus people opting out, plus their backup Quarterback -- and you guys beat the by 13 points at home.

The point is: What are you doing for me now?

Not: We beat them in their third game of the season a few months ago and we expect to ride the coattails of that win from hereon out.

You guys were 13 - 7 going into the fricking fourth quarter against LSU, at home.

Of course no one is voting for you.

The win over Kentucky was not that impressive. Not sure why Gator fans are trying to bang this drum.
