This is old news.
Should be on the recruiting board.
And is proven to be a blatant lie, conjured up by Yancey Porter of Ole Miss' Scout site.

So this is a blatant lie published by the Atlanta Journal Constitution?
quote:
When Hill knowingly or unknowingly signed with SEC financial aid agreement with Alabama earlier this month, it prevented Ole Miss from further courtship with the 6-foot-5, 350-pounder. Under the SEC document, Hill could’ve chosen to enroll at a non-SEC school without any penalty. However, had Hill wanted to stick with Ole Miss, he couldn’t have gotten a scholarship from the Rebels for two full academic years.

If the kid got screwed over then that's a bullshite way to get him there. if he's fine with it then good for him.

There is a 15 page thread covering this on the SEC Recruiting board. I don't feel like re-explaining this shite.

Where do you think the AJC got it from?

Then you probably should have just left it at "read the other thread" instead of injecting your opinion about who be lying.

They cited Hugh Kellenberger, Ole Miss beat writer for the Clarion Ledger.
Sorry if I don't automatically accept it as Gospel when Bama fans and State fans shout "It's all damned, dirty lies!!!"

Cool. Well you should not automatically accept it as truth just because AJC printed it.

The rule is on the books by the SEC. Bama fans think its stupid therefore its not a rule. It is a rule but it didn't determine where Hill went. He was leaning back towards Bama but we would have had a shot to flip him back if he had not of signed the contract.

I have an open mind and am willing to entertain all arguments.
That is all.

He was coming back regardless of what he did or didn't sign, all he did is do some paperwork he was gonna do in the oncoming weeks as an EE.
His quotes express he wanted to be at Bama, and the only reason he committed to Ole Miss briefly because he thought his mom wanted him to. When she told him otherwise, he flipped back on his official.

Because he would tell Alabama recruiting guys he really didn't want to be there right after he committed right? That's what you call "coach speak"

That paper has a long and glorious history of doing that very thing. Just ask Auburn and the Foster kid.

Well according to the person who broke the story, Hill contacted him with the news and it wasn't someone reaching out for it.
But if you're gonna speculate on the validity of his quotes, anyone else can certainly do so on the truth of this entire story. Wouldn't be the 1st time a reporter pushed a non-story right?
