Yeah. Wow. A whole bye week.

They had over a month to prepare for Utah and it didn't matter. Now, did it? What happened there? Too much rest?

Super logic.

Andre Smith, an offensive tackle, caused their defense to get torched. Or, was it their fans lack of passion for the game? I don't seem to remember?

I mean, a fricking category four hurricane caused LSU to become a mass operations unit and play twelve games in a row, while also causing players to wonder whether their family members were alive. I didn't hear any bitching from CLM...

Situations like that usually bring people together. Sports provide an outlet for the healing. It's not fair to compare the two situations. It's not fair to the people of the Gulf Coast, nor what was going on with Alabama relative to it's situation, which compared to LSU's 2005 season in no way.

Do you not agree that there's no way to sit there and compare those two situations? I mean, it is all relative to what you're going through.

I'm sure you're right. It's just too late for me to read all that.

Well, Saban makes four million a year to make these decisions. He woke up a program that had been asleep for half a century, and is well on his way to resurrecting another. I think he might have a few ideas about these matters.

When did he complain?

After the UT game his entire interview was talking about how tired his team was and the break was much needed...I don't know if this would be classified as a complaint though...

Bad flame why are Bama fans defending taking a bye week every team gets and needs. Every coach says we are tired and need to get healed. LSU fans are actually complaining that is unfair our bye week comes before we play them and it is a setup not on the sec rant but I heard them talking about it on the radio. The op probably feels the same way hence the flame

Auburn chooses to wait to the week before the iron bowl to take their bye. That is their problem. The SEC scheduled Alabama 5 straight SEC games.

Nice side-step. I never directly compared the two situations. I simply meant that given all of the circumstances during that year, I never heard a player or coach use the excuse of being "mentally" or "physically" exhausted, even though some of our players shared their living spaces with family members and friends for an extended period of time.

Bama played five SEC games in a row, which is normal during SEC play, and Saban plays the "we're tired" card.

After the Utah game, he played the Andre Smith and Bama fanbase card, both of which were excuses.

Given much more mentally and physically taxing situations than Bama has experienced in the last two years, I never heard an excuse coming from the LSU players or coaches.

Your coach is whiny bitch, who has shirked his responsibility as a coach on two different occasions.
