They have what 12 scholly players on D? They've been getting shredded most of the year, wont have an off week til two more weeks.

If there's any team that can complain about being tired it's AU. Kinda funny coming from Saban and a team that should have massive depth with their two Natl Championships in Recruiting...

Maybe he just realizes and accepts that his defense sucks.

Rather him do that than have your head coach telll the world your team is tired. Cant recall ever hearing a coach say his team was tired...

I think he was just making a good point about a poorly scheduled bye week. Bye should be mid season after game 6 IMO. You sound bitter of Saban, par for the lsu course.

Saban has never said a lot of the retarded things that Les Miles has either.

Maybe Chizik wasn't preparing his fanbase in advance for a potential loss.

Saban never said a word about being physically tired. He mentioned worries over being mentally tired. Not paying attention in meeting, not doing the little things in practice, etc. Those are the things that get you beat more than being physically tired. After grinding since fall camp, every team needs a rest. Of course Auburn wouldn't, they didn't practice in the heat, and shied away from grueling two-a-days.

Miles is not smart enough to know what to complain about.

“I think that when you play eight games in a row, everybody is a little tired emotionally, mentally and physically. It’s been my experience when you play more than six games in a row, without getting some rest, it gets to be a little strain on the players to continue make progress. So I think that the bye week did everybody a lot of good, in terms of getting some rest, physically, mentally and emotionally in every way, in terms of finishing the season.”

Saban said that today.
