[quoteSmart isn’t on Urbans level. ]In the SEC Urban was 65-15 over 6 years. Kirby was 66-17 in his first 6 years.[/quote]

Not on the same level but...on the same level.
Difference being Meyer faked an illness and quit on the Gators while Kirby is still going strong.

so practically identical lol. Yet you conveniently leave out:

-Kirby did it in the toughest era in the history of the league, and honestly of the sport in general
-As soon as Saban started rising to prominence urban bounced immeidatley. Kirby has had to deal with that road block repeatedly
-Urban didn't have to deal with the portal/NIL and having to retain/recruit his entire roster top to bottom yearly
-Urban had already been a HC before, at two other stops actaully. This was Kirby's first ever gig

actually now that I've typed out all of the above, you're right. Kirby is much better.

Frank Leahy's overall winning percentage was .864, but if you isolate his time after WWII at Notre Dame, it is .857 (which would put him ahead of Urban Meyer).

Doyt Perry's winning percentage (1955-1964) was .855, which was also ahead of Urban Meyer's.

Kirby Smart's winning percentage is .855, which is ahead of Urban Meyer's

Kalen DeBoer's winning percentage is .897, which is ahead of both Day and Meyer.

Difference being Urban rebuilt a program and Kirby was handed a pretty good one. Kirby would still be in the .800s

Mm an argument can be made here. Meyer went to a national championship his 2nd year with Zook’s recruits. That 2002 class was one of the best recruiting classes of all time. Some absolute studs

Makes sense. Big fish in a weak conference for many years.

Guys like Saban and Smart would have like a .985 career win percentage getting to play in the big 10 the bulk of their career :/

Someone want to tell him where the South got Saban from?

Osu has won in spite of Ryan day and that’s kinda impressive. He had this epic roster he purchased and underwhelmed to the point of failure(he’s coaching cost that game). His buffoonery shamed the buckeyes into a corner where they harnessed the rage that comes from incompetent leadership. Rarely seen event but it’s truly beautiful to watch.
