I'm too young to know anything about Nolan. What's the back story on his termination?

So you intentionally did a selection of years to avoid Nolan Richardson?

I was actually really young as well. All I heard was the basketball program started struggling and he kept getting into it with AD Frank Broyles, then started pulling the race card.

Older Hog fans should give a better history. All I know is we made bad hires after Nolan.

According to Auburn fans, they’re a blue blood and a better basketball program. Despite their vastly inferior basketball tradition and overall losing record to Arkansas.

Silly Auby’s.

boog thinks this points to some sort of program consistency over 25 years? 3 appearances with a gap of 16 years in between two of them got 98% of those wins

We had a couple epic choke jobs when we were a high seed in the mid early 2000’s. Should be a lot higher

2004 was awful. Won the SEC. Finished 26-4 (14-2). #4 in the polls and a 2 seed in tourney

Lost in 2nd round

The real joke here is Arky as always... one more tourney win than BAMA but act like they're Blue bloods because they were good a few decades ago.

Yes, this is 100% about Arkansas. You got me.

It’s what happens when you have idiots meddling in coaching hires. Oh, and affirmative action. Arkansas was pressured into hiring another minority coach in Stan Heath after Nolan being fired.

Just imagine if we had gone from Nolan to Self... Which was all but a done deal until the fricking Chancellor killed the deal for Stan fricking Heath.

Arkansas would probably have won a National title or two at least.

If you have to go back more than 25 years to find success, your program may have shite the bed.

Check the banners, Bammer. Arkansas has more Elite 8s the past three years than Alabama has your entire history.

Arkansas has more NCAA Tournament appearances, wins, Sweet 16s, Elite 8s, Final Fours, and national championship than Alabama basketball has ever dreamed of.

The Arkansas basketball hires after Nolan were bed shitters. However, despite our bad season this year, the two Elite 8s and Sweet 16 under Muss is better than anything Auburn has done. One Final Four? Ha!

You ever attended a game in their shite stain of an arena? The athletic program treats them as a red headed stepchild.
