Purdue got screwed on location.

Not really. After their loss yesterday, I'd say they're definitely the weakest #1

Yeah sorry Oklahoma isn't a 4 seed the way they have been playing.

I'm sure they will be in Detroit opening weekend.

Seeding tells me the SEC still has perception issues. You have Miami as a 6 and VT as an 8 when their resumes are no where near what the SEC schools have. I'm worried we will get 5 in with 3 teams in the first four out territory. We will see 9 or 10 ACC teams per usual even though the league is clearly down.

I made a post about this a month ago about the anti-sec bias.

Houston
Houston will probably slide in the tournament as a 11 or 12 seed and make the Sweet 16. That's a good team.

Happens to someone every year now, unless Gonzaga is good enough to be on the 1-line like last year.

The Pac 12 sucks.

They are inconsistent. Very talented, though.

They could win their first game, but they aren't beating any of the big boys.

Gonna laugh my arse off if UF ends up as a 9 seed.

No 1 seed wants to see that.

So the committee must really like the SEC

Tough draw for Auburn not being able to go to Atlanta. They need anyone but Virginia to be overall #1 to play there...or they could lose a game and fall off being the top 2 seed and play there also.

It’d be worth it. Auburn fans travel well and are overhyped with excitement about this team. I imagine we’d have a good advantage for the first round in Atlanta.

Though some say that the 2 seed might as well be a 1 in terms of difficulty of opponents.

or Arkansas or Alabama or Texas A&M or TCU or Butler or Michigan or Kansas State etc. etc. etc.

Teams seeded 7-10 are going to give the top seeds fits. There's no question about it. It's a weak year at the top, and with conferences like the SEC and Big 12 cannibalizing each other in league play, the middle teams are going to be legit.

I bet the 1 and 2 seeds go 4-4 on the sat/sun of the opening weekend of the tournament.

Seeding outside the Top 16 isn't committee. It's Palm, who's been the low outlier on UF.
