I'm going to assume this is bad, mainly because Tennessee just manages to frick everything up for the rest of us.

It was also reported this week that Presidents and Chancellors in the SEC and B1G are now having serious conversations about whether to continue their NCAA membership. No NCAA then no TV agreement and we start over. The source in the room said these people feel very strongly about pulling away.

The clock is ticking on SuperConferences governing college football.

“ In response to this latest order, the Division I Board of Directors directed NCAA enforcement staff pause and not begin investigations involving third-party participation in NIL-related activities," Baker said. "There will be no penalty for conduct that occurs consistent with the injunction while the injunction is in place.

It may be over for Tennessee. It may not be. They are only pausing ongoing investigations and not starting new ones until there is more clarity. The NCAA still has a hard on to nail Smokey’s hide to the side of the barn as a recent repeat offender.

I honestly believe it's inevitable.

I read somewhere that the B10/SEC would form a 40 team league between the two conference and govern themselves. Basically having each team play 5 SEC/5 B10 teams each season guarantee 3 SEC/3 B10 teams in a 14 team playoff.

I can’t say I like the idea of never playing some SEC teams due to being forced to play 5 B10 teams a year. Of course it’s all rumors and discussions now, so probably nothing to it yet.

A few foundational rules regarding NIL are still in effect, which the federal court recognized.

Baker said those policies will still be enforced, including:

Prohibition on pay-for-play, meaning payment for specific athletics performance. Tenn not out of woods yet.
Prohibition on direct institutional payment for NIL.
The quid pro quo requirement.

The prohibition for pay to play is the only NIL rule the NCAA has on the books. It's literally what Tennessee is suing the NCAA about. They want to be able to have their collectives pay players to play for them.

The prohibition on direct institutional payment isn't NIL related. It's just a general rule.

I literally quoted the article.

It seems Tennessee fans are the ones that are having issues with comprehension.

It has nothing to do with the article. You have no fricking common sense.
