I apologize for still referencing the 2013-2014 football season as "this year" and the 2012-2013 football season as "last year". Let me amend that.
"A&M has milked its GOAT. They've especially milked that win during the 2012-2013 football season over you guys in Tuscaloosa."

I'm sure they can think of a way around that. Defensive false start preceeds the quick snap penalty so defense gets the penalty, no play continuation or something to that effect seems like it would work.

My goat can wait, the more pressing matter is the melt you are having over the HUNH.

And since that win Alabama has won a national championship and attended another BCS bowl while A&M has slobbered around in mediocrity. They have indeed milked their GOAT.

On the contrary, I'm as giddy as a school boy over this proposed rule change. I think you're the one who is melting, otherwise you would not be in this thread.

clearly this is because of the 2013 Iron Bowl and believing that one game is the cause of an NCAA considered rule change is in no way paranoid and bat shite crazy

And the ONLY reason he opened his mouth on it, is because he has so much trouble defending it(specifically Texas A&M, Auburn, and Oklahoma). BTW, that pussy offense pounded Alabama last year to a tune of 300 rushing yards and a victory. And I'm sure you remember what happened in the Sugar Bowl.quote:FIFY
Only pussies play with the HUNH offense
Nick Saban is a huge hypocrite anyways. If the rule change doesn't pass, he will probably adapt and start using the HUNH offense. Take recruiting for example: He preaches that you shouldn't be able to recruit a player once he is committed to another school, yet he tries and succeeds in flipping players all the time.

It was a play on words. Quit being so pissy.

On a related note I would like to thank the rant for ruining the melt term. It was the one saying that wasn't incredibly dumb and now, due to overuse and use in improper venues even melting has lost its meaning. Go frick yourselves you ignorant children.

Because Bama cannot win without these new rules

No...I hate the HUNH offense because, ever since I was little, football drew me in for one reason and one reason only: the strategic aspect of it all. I loved it because it resembled chess. The HUNH offense takes away that which I have loved about the game since I was a little boy. It becomes less about strategy and more about how many yards and points a team can rack up. That may be fun for you but it's not fun for me.

And here I was thinking football mattered about how many points you scored

Nobody has mentioned the real "Saban Rule" proposal being considered.
....switching the sticks to the other sideline at the half. If it passes, Saban has the crew and official right where he wants them for half of every game.

that is part of how you win, when combined with how well you stop the other team from scoring.
I personally love a hard-nosed defensive battle. And am happy about the rule regardless of how Jesus (Saban) speaks on the subject.

It is not overkill, the snap of the ball at 35 second causes a reset by the ref, hence you delayed the game.
And this rule is coming under the SAFTEY OF THE PLAYERS section of the rule book, so it willbe passed in full.
Get used to running your HUNH for 4 minutes a game.
We going after the men down field on a pass rule next.
