MSU's Bair has a big lead after day one of the Decathlon.

Bair set the all-time NCAA records for the 100m and 400m Decathlon races. His 400 time was the 5th fastest ever for the Decathlon at any level.

USC piles up points in sprints and jumps. They don't have a distance program.

I don't think USC is terribly appealing to distance runners since you really can't train around there safely.

OK Men's champ will be crowned today and women's tomorrow. With it being on the West coast everything mainly starts around 7:30 ET.

He didn't impress on Wednesday so they discounted the SEC champ. I love it.

OU is about to jump into 3rd with a 1-2 finish in the triple jump, but they don't have anyone left to score down the stretch.

OK basically these are the teams in the hunt with the 4x400 left since none of them have runners in the 5k. Auburn doesn't have a 4x4 team.

1 USC 40
2 Auburn 35
3 Arkansas 34
4 Texas A&M 33

Man if Auburn could get anything at all from middle distance, distance, or field we'd be killing it. Two years in a row just short.

Looks like USC has it wrapped if they don't drop the baton. Arkansas and A&M fighting for 2nd.

So the points are 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

We will see if either Arkansas or A&M can finish enough places in front of USC.
