This is the best effort I’ve seen out of Auburn since we beat Bama. If Creighton beats us by shooting 60+% from 3 and hitting 18 of them, then so be it. They deserve it. But I’m praying they cool down.

The SEC was still the best league even if everyone bombed out this weekend.
Im sorry but nothing else matters but how you do in March. If several SEC teams don’t get to the Elite 8 and Final four and if an SEC team doesn’t win it all, then the narrative will definitely be that the SEC was overrated and overhyped.

Makes sense.

After that, I can only show that my pick was just based on not knowing much. I only went with a combo of record mixed with parent conference strength to be perfectly honest. Just barely, hence I went with TT but my decision was not based on a lot of thinking.

Thanks for the explain

Agreed. Not a badly called game at all.

I agree except for those last 30 second. That was should not have been a foul on Kelly going for the ball, and then on the other end, the ball was clearly out on Creighton but they somehow said it bounced off of an Auburn player when there was no one around.

Other than that, it was nice to watch a game without a million whistles.

so far this has been one of the best officiated games of the tourney

Yeah. Win or lose, neither team can complain about the refs, at least so far.

Both teams appear to be doing a good job of not making stupid fouls but don't underestimate CBM's ability to get stupid.

Auburn is leading in rebounds, turnovers, free throws made, and they're still losing.

With the score this tight, tells me they'll likely win.

Th B1G is setting records right now. We will not be considered the best league unless we reverse their fortunes. If Duke beats FL in a close game for the championship, no one is going to say the ACC was better than the SEC. MSU path to final four would be mighty easy if AU loses this one (could get Mich/MSU for guaranteed B1G final four team).

Definitely. It's just weird that all the categories which usually tell which team is better and it's not in this game.

Yep 100% for sure. It's just weird when you see this when it's your team.

Creighton banked a 3 early. Never a good sign.

The bench will be the difference. Creighton's legs will be tired soon, shots won't fall a much as the first half. Meanwhile, AU has deep bench!
