At the very least, it appears the NCAA is on a witch hunt, intent to find something....maybe anything. I'd be very nervous if this was happening at Alabama right now. No school can withstand the microscope of the NCAA if they are intent on finding something. I'm sure even AU fans would agree with this.

My favorite part is that this was so clearly called in by Bama. He's been in Auburn for many months and only after he publicly switches commitments does it become an issue.

it also could be that people in the ncaa have eyes and were paying attention to the bizarre way the whole thing went down. abnormal to day the least. im sure the tattoo thing raised some eyebrows. nobody does that sort of thing in the middle of the summer before their senior year of high school. throw in the last minute switch to auburn instead of opelika, and the mom immediately getting a university job despite a piss poor job market, and you are surprised they at least want to look? i imagine they will be interested in who else was up for the position, qualifications, etc..

I really don't think them talking to foster is a big deal, the fact the press was told about it is much more concerning.

You're really beating a dead horse here man. Auburn declared him ineligible. As to why. That is anyones guess. My theory is that they did it so that the NCAA would have to say something regarding his eligibility.

As for AJ Green, that whole mess was just stupid. And it took the NCAA forever to even look at reinstating him, or say anything about it really.

Thank you! that is all I am getting at. If the NCAA wants to find something, they will. When you are judge, jury, and executioner you tend to make it worth you time to find something.

In no way to I wish ill of Rueben Foster, I wish him the best. However, no kid's past stands a chance against the NCAA if they looked hard enough.

I have yet to see any concrete proof that she got any kind of AU job. Just internet message board chatter. Is there a link I might have missed?

Honest question. Does anyone know what job she got, or is this just part of the speculation. Surely we're not dumb enough to hire her weeks after he flipped.

Thinking out loud about the Tigerette shite from a year ago...all university positions are public records. Shouldn't be that hard for someone to snoop around and find out what university job we gave her, if we did.

A thread full of NCAA experts, fans of other teams trying their best to scare the Auburn fans, and Auburn fans trying their best to reassure themselves everything is ok.

More resources than the NCAA. I'll take the NCAA sniffing around long before i'd have charles robinson in town.

Also, and this possibly unfairly relies on what PM said, but that its' not uncommon for top recruits to get a check in visit from the NCAA but often it goes un reported because there was nothing to find, but in this case it was reported leading to the possibility that folks from the NCAA are looking for a little help in digging up stuff about auburn. And the NCAA talking to reuben and nothing coming of it really doens't bother me, the ncaa talking to reuben and the press reporting it and nothing come of it still brings that little bit of unwanted publicity.

But mostly the charles robinsons of the world is why the press worries me.
