That's what I'm thinking. Even if they can't technically nail Auburn for the Newton stuff, they'll find something else.

Of course on the flip side, knowing that every move you're making is being watched, I would imagine Auburn and everyone associate with it are treading lightly these days.

You guys are crazy. Robinson and Reed went to Auburn because it was best for them. There have been literally hundreds of Thibodaux kids that have signed with Auburn through the years.

It's Thibodaux for Christ's sake, I'm surprised every kid from there doesn't go to Auburn.

I'm thinking he means that maybe they should not have chosen a very uber-pro-LSU school/area

honestly, with all the stuff that happened with Cam, I would be surprised that we would risk it with GR. I mean the timing just wouldn't make any sense.

Auburn chose the wrong school if they did in fact get dirty with Lorio's players.

I could'nt agree more as there is no one more dirty and payed for than Lorio in Louisiana. It's funny the NCAA is using him as a source when that guy should have been investigated for his dealings with players and LSU long ago.

I think it would be impossible for a program to recruit these days without breaking some rule. Im not talking about cash or shite like that.

Something will be found. The interesting thing is how it will be presented. I do not think anything will come of the Cam Newton recruiting effort. BingoGate and free debit cards seem unlikely. They will dig until they turn up something. Its just a matter of how they want it to end.

Y'all need to tell Trooper to start showing these kids how to keep their fricking mouths shut. GR did all but call the fricking NCAA himself.

Of course the NCAA will find something they have egg on their face and AU gonna pay one way or the other...Cam deal is done that is why they are ivestigating other leads to bring something to the table.

Sounds like SMU logic. But the more they cheated the more emboldened they became. They thought they were invincible. We all know how that ultimately turned out. Cheaters gonna cheat...and they eventually get caught.

who knows if they'll find hard evidence on Newton or not...in these type cases, it's usually someone that was "wronged" that ends up spilling the beans. As far as I can see, the Newtons don't have anything to complain about so I doubt they ever get anything hard on them.

It's always the player/agent/coach that feels like he got shafted that brings the house down, and I'm not sure the Newtons or anyone involved in that deal feels that way from everything I've read and heard.

Isn't Tubbs currently working on a book?

Why exactly would LSU need to pay Lorio?

That's what I'd hope, but I doubt it. They're likely just gathering all they can find before they unload it on you.
