And we fired our coach for it. Alabama extended theirs for it.

Yikes.

Someone needs to step up and start an intervention for the Old Piss fans. Their obsession with LoSerU and their new coach has risen to psychotic levels

I mean let's be honest. Raise of hands ..did anyone other than OM fans believe Lane was going to retire at OM

Zero other SEC schools are in the news about not paying.

LSU leadership should make a public statement about this because right now they look like Larry, curley, and moe.

LSU should make OM pay them for using their coaches during playoff run

OM is a bunch of hypocrites too being that they actually tampered with player in school already

Kalen Deboer now has two CFP appearances, twice as many as the LSU football program has all-time.

What a fun way to say one more appearance than LSU who actually won the whole damn thing.

Even if it’s lil bro, a contract is a contract though and the player should honor it.

And LSU should not foot that bill OR take it out of their new deal.

powerful negative recruiting

Negative recruiting? If OM sues student athletes, THAT’s going to be some epic negative recruiting. I don’t think they’ll do it. They’ll re-structure their revenue sharing contracts in the future, but I don’t think they’re going to sue these 2 players. I don’t think they can go after LSU; they’re not a party to those contracts.

Maybe to someone like you.

An intelligent person can understand that LSU isn't even involved in this dispute.

If Kiffin had not gone to LSU, and LSU’s collective had not thrown $1 million dollars at Princewell, would we be talking about this?

Right or wrong I strongly suspect the players aren't aware of that. Because they were very likely told by LSU that LSU would cover the buyout and it wouldn't be coming out of their pocket.

Just guessing, but I suspect the issue is that this money counts against LSU's $20.5 mil rev share amount they are legally allowed to spend and I would guess they didn't account for the $1 mil that's currently due to Ole Miss which counts against that amount. Not because LSU doesn't have the money, but because they can't make it fit it the legal rev share amount when considering what they've already paid / promised other players.

Year one of profit sharing and LSU has already fricked it up?

As smoothly as everything else runs at LSU I just can’t believe this.

All depends on whether LSU reps said to agents, "Don't worry about the buyout, we'll pay it." If so LSU on the hook and the players come out ok.

So yes there is quite a bit of potential for LSU to be involved. You think players switched schools for less money?
