7) The Big 12 Conference will be given a bye every year in the playoff semifinal since them not being able to win a game was deemed an unfair advantage held by the other 4 power conferences.

). a 10-second runoff will occur if instant replay overturns the ruling on the field inside of one minute in either half, and the correct ruling would not have stopped the game clock.

So if a team is initially given a TD with 9 seconds left then after replay the ball carrier is ruled down at the 1-foot line, 10 seconds will runoff and the half/game will end, not giving the team another shot at the TD?

If it was correctly called in that scenario, it’s highly unlikely they’d get another chance anyways with time running off

If they had a timeout however, I bet anything you’d be able to use it to nullify the 10 second runoff

No remember Ashawn Robinson jumping over the LSU OL to block the kick. The rule was you couldn’t land on them I think. It’s a stupid rule. You’re ruling to not allow guys to use superior athletic ability

This one is going to screw over some team in year one.

I don't have a problem with it. If the clock would have run if the call was made correctly, then it should run. I'm sure if a team has a timeout they can stop the runoff by using it.

Agreed. They initially called it a "safety measure." I'm still waiting to see the list of guys injured from it in the past 100+ years. I'm fairly certain there have been more injuries from celebrations, than from leaping to block field goals.

Bring back the days of Boss Bailey going way up and over everyone to block a kick:

Why even kickoff then?

Live ball.

Pooch kicks and onside kicks still can turn over the possession.
