I still don't understand how this is a legit chain of events:

-Asks to play another year
-NCAA says "no, you cannot"
-He appeals and it goes in front of a kangaroo court biased hick of a judge whose an OM alum and now he magically gets another year

I'm not being facetious I'm genuinely asking...if the governing body of the sport can simply be overruled and ignored by going to the nearest court to the school and getting a friendly judge to rule however they want, how are ANY rules expected to be enforced?

the NCAA will hammer yall on the Dabo's tampering charge

Oh no! A level 2 violation! What will we do when Pete can't coach against Charlotte?

The governing body brought this on themselves by being arbitrary and capricious on their own. They can crash and burn plus if we are the vehicle of their destruction then all the better.

Except Pete's the contract pete txted over make it a level I...

Oopsie...

While tampering is generally classified as a Level II violation, the severity of these allegations—specifically the direct contact, high-dollar offer, and active poaching of a signed player—has led to it being treated as a major infraction case, with calls for it to be treated as a Level I violation.

Well, I wouldn't wish the hardship on him per se, but If you're going to screw around then you have to be prepared to play the piper. If He goes down in a heap, then other will be less likely to peruse this nonsense...

That was really the point I was getting at.

Kid should just go pro and be done with it.

When did he screw around? What nonsense is he pursuing?

I don’t understand why an SC fan would even care. I would be stressing out if that little whiny turd Beamer was coaching my team. Just realizing we won’t be good until he’s gone would drive me crazy.

Take your pick.

Gamble with his future.
Risk his future
Jeopardize his future
Put his future at risk
Take chances with his future
Play around with his future

Because I have a moral compass that faces due north...

I'd be making the same statements no matter who the young man played for.

Dipshits on this board think this means it’s an auto overturn. I’ll enjoy the delicious melt when it doesn’t

So the NCAA isn’t arguing if they were wrong in this case. Their appeal is “let us do our job or we won’t be able to do our job anywhere else”

Go frick yourselves

They FAFO with the wrong school/state. They’ve been after Ole Miss and Mississippi State my entire life, holding us to different standards than the “blue bloods”. They aren’t going to get the ruling they want

Seriously. They are beyond stupid if they think this will end any different.

Any idea when this will be heard?

Almost the entire Supreme Court they are appealing to went to OM undergrad or graduated from OM Law School. So it’s going to be the same thing :lol.

Sucks to suck. Be consistent in your rulings and people won’t fight back.

Five years to play five. No medical redshirts, no extenuating circumstances.

If you can’t go pro after that time, thank the university that provided you with a free education and life skills.
