Just wait till they find out you paid him to play though. This is even going to double $&*# you now. Cause now the NCAA will be made a fool out of by this.

Wow, I had not heard this. So they found him guilty, but are letting him get away with it anyway?

No, we committed NO violation. Cam committed NO violation.

Auburn has known about this since day 1, this is why Cecil Newton was not allowed to come with Cam when he took his OV here.

So guilt is admitted.

And the decision is no penalty.

It's like a guy pleading guilty to murder and being sentenced to community service. Typical NCAA bullshite.

And yet we were put on 3 years probation when Ted Harrod overpaid 20 of our players by $215 a piece at their summer jobs.

The Bama textbook players were declared ineligible and then reinstated too. But the end of the day, every game they participated in prior to that was vacated, and we went on probation.

Quit raining on the parade. Actually, all this means is that AU declared him ineligible and asked for reinstatement and the NCAA issued that reinstatement. The nCAA didn't rule on whether he has been eligible throughout the season, if I am understanding this correctly. The investigation continues and penalties (inlcuding the vacation of wins) are still a possibility.

When a school discovers an NCAA rules violation has occurred, it must declare the student-athlete ineligible and may request the student-athlete’s eligibility be reinstated.

Auburn University declared the student-athlete ineligible yesterday for violations of NCAA amateurism rules.

So Auburn only found out about this yesterday?

If that's the case then I apologize to the Auburn Family for my doubts and would like to wish you and your team the best of luck the rest of the way.

Based on the information available to the reinstatement staff at this time, we do not have sufficient evidence that Cam Newton or anyone from Auburn was aware of this activity, which led to his reinstatement

This really doesn't say anything. From what I'm reading (and someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong), AU declared Cam ineligible briefly because they had to, and since the investigation is still going on, they have no reason at the present time to say he isn't eligible, so it's like a real fast "take back". All I'm reading is "we still don't know anything."
