News for the tropical depression in South Florida.

A tropical disturbance that has soaked South Florida with flooding rainfall is now tracking into the Atlantic waters away from the state where it's likely to become a tropical storm on a path that could take it near Bermuda
quote:
The disturbance produced rainfall totals in excess of 10 inches in southeast Florida, including the Miami metro area, where flooding reports have been numerous. The top total is 13.5 inches near Hollywood Water Treatment Plant, and all of that fell in the 24 hours ending early Saturday morning.

Yep. South Florida can get rid of a lot of water with the canals, but not that much, that quick.

With the sandy soil and natural drainage, Miami is probably the only major city that can withstand that much rain in that short a time and not have major problems.
They did have some issues, but most other cities would be doing high water rescues.

I kind of wish there was run rule in regionals.

Georgia has put up 10 runs in the top 3rd. The bases are loaded and there are still no outs.
I thought LSU vs Kennesaw St was bad.
There is a walk now 11-0, no outs bases loaded.
Over 70 pitches by Hofstra in the inning.
