Yeah, I think 5 is possible though. Just do it in the cws final. It would be ok if it’s all done at the same venue .

It would be a disaster. You would have to give something of a rest day, so even a five game series would take one or two days longer. The staffs would be depleted like crazy and the games would last forever as teams gave up 15+ in games 4 and 5 off of Johnny Wholestaff.

Shyt, most teams barely have enough pitching for 3 games, some only 2. By game 5 we’d be seeing 27-23 type scores

Schloss didn’t want to have to play again tomorrow. I have been very impressed with him

Exactly this. It was a fantastic move by Schlossnagle but I hate that it's allowed. All of a sudden the batter has to wait 3 minutes and he's swinging at a pitch in the dirt

It’s part of what makes baseball great. You act like huge advantage pitcher. NOT AT ALL. The pressure on a pitcher in that situationnis immense! You HAVE to throw a strike or a pitch they’ll swing at and not connect. Otherwise, you may lose the game for your team.

Yeah, SO unfair….

Now we are stuck with watching track and field on ESPN. At least some of these chicks have really nice asses. Only reason to watch this sport.

ESPN doesn't want to take away from their NHL Playoff game broadcast apparently.

Sounds like an ESPN train of thought

But do these fan bases really intersect much?

Doubt there are many super conflicted NHL/college baseball fans out there .

I’m certainly not one of them. Haven’t watched a minute of NHL the entire season

I love the NHL so if the Preds were playing I'd be switching back and forth but I agree with you. College Baseball probably doesn't pull enough to worry about it to be honest.

Tough travel for AU fans. Don’t blame them.

Our players are having to stay near Portland so I'm sure fans willing to make that trip were SOL too

Do you have any idea how long that postseason would take?

About 6 months less than the NBA playoffs

The fact that a team has already won their series before others have even played shows how screwed up the scheduling was.
