Got to play tonight. Omaha needs ample time to line up catering for TN players or not if they lose

ESPN has to have their hand in this, weather is fine to start now.

Maybe your uncle should frequent something other than the shitty chain restaurants he frequents in Tennessee.

The local non chains seem to be mostly closed on Monday… I’m not sure where you got lost in this concept. That was the point. They try to eat local when they travel but literally went to 4 places that were either not open or were hosting closed events. They ended up at someplace called coops? that had cafe style food.

No. Robert St John, the arbiter of several of the best local restaurants has rolled out the red carpet for this series.

Edit Hattiesburg is a small town, it’s not a Memphis (thankfully) and certainly not a Nashville, but it’s similar to most towns in Tennessee. Why are y’all shitting on this town??

That time is on ESPN. Game could have started. At this point 9 is when ESPN wants to fill in their time slot. Sports changed in 1980 when ESPN was born.

Hey hate on ESPN all you want. But when ESPN 2 first aired and we had college football all day on it plus the other channels it was a game changer

Do you know how many games were on TV in 1980?

Radio was how most heard the game unless you were there.

For whatever reason this is a big thing in Mississippi. Very few local restaurants are open on Monday here as well

Usually a slow day. Lots of non chains close on Monday. Especially after COVID due to staffing issues.

It was pretty alien compared to most east TN towns. From geography to demographics to climate to culture. Granted my experience was fairly limited in my brief stay and later remote working with the area. It wasn’t unpleasant but it was not east TN by any stretch. It was bigger than maryville population wise but it just seemed dull. And it didn’t sell itself very well. If you were not local it had little to offer.
