Picked Wright State coming out of that bracket in my D1 baseball bracket. They're a good little #4 seed. They recruit super scrappy players with an edge. Reminds me of the Tampa Rays farm system.

Cats with some nice fielding, headed to the bottom of the 8th up 1-0.

State is the dangerous team in our regional
committee seeding NCSU as a 3 was far more nefarious towards USC than placing Campbell here.

Avent clearly has been through it all as a HC - and he'd love nothing more than to win a regional at the stadium Ray had to leave Raleigh to get built when NCSU said no. Monte faced him every season for the past 6 full seasons so there's familiarity there for USC to draw on.

to Soda City's point - wolfpack will indeed have a chip on their shoulder due to the covid outcome.

Yeah pretty much. Some elite-level over-managing going on

Did the UK guy just stare down the pitcher after getting hit in the elbow?

Wake Forest's field is artificial everything. I don't ever recall seeing a black pitcher's mound.
Not sure I’ve ever seen an artificial mound in college. I just assumed it was a rule it had to be dirt

Second time our lead off guy can’t get the sac bunt down. Good grief

Tulane has a turf pitchers mound. Not common and dumb but they do exist

Can you imagine trying to pitch on that bullshite when the field is wet

That and being left out of the field in 2022.

With the foot drag for a pitcher, you'd think that'd make them more susceptible to foot injuries.

And Ball State having a hard time deciding when to pull this guy. 119 pitches. Lawd.

for some reason Kendell is on twitter arguing it is the right move. To me it seems silly. Either way you play tomorrow, so save the guy for either an elimination game, or for the game to get into the kings seat.

unless you have him on like a 40 pitch count and you throw him again Sunday. Thats the only reasoning I can think of

and there's no chance he does that with Skenes

I like Kendall, but he's dead wrong if that's his take

Jay is essentially eliminating one of the biggest advantages of hosting. Hell, in the past we've thrown wholestaff games in game 1. Burning the best pitcher in the country against statistically the worst team to ever make the field is just ignorant. Defending it is even worse on Kendall's part. He should know better

Did he give any kind of argument?

Seems like one of the dumber coaching decisions I've ever seen.

We're relatively new to this. It's a work in progress.
