BaseVols have 4 solid starters with experience. No other SEC team can claim. that

Lindsey came from Charlotte. Dollander is more experienced.. around 39 career starts comapared to 18 Lindsey. 1-2 starts this weekend works out great.

It’s ashamed a national seed is worried about a 40 loose team that they refused to pitch its bullpen.

So he should have burned bullpen arms just for giggles?

Again this is difficult to explain to the baseball ignorant Vol fans. He would be unable to pitch again in the regional whether he pitched 100 pitches or 121. So it made sense if he felt good to let him finish the game up. That way you get out of the game with your bullpen fully rested, which helps for the remainder of the regional. Is there maybe a Baseball for Dummies book some of you can buy? It’s exhausting having to explain simple things to you.

Skenes hasn’t pitched. Complete game all year. And then y’all face Tulane and all of sudden he pitches 121 pitches. It’s no secret LSU has average pitching and average bullpen after Skenes. JJ didn’t want to take any chances on a 40 lose team so he puts his players health at risk.

It also shows the team they are taking the game seriously, going in with a plan and have faith in all their pitchers. It’s significantly easier to advance from the winners bracket so throwing you ace is a sound choice regardless of the opponent. And it being the instate rival just adds to it.

You can’t seriously expect him to turndown being a top 5 pick to stay in a military school, can you?

This is the same guy that donates his nil money to the Military charity folds of honor.
