We weren't a very good team but we completed our arse off.
Can't ask for much more.

LSU was down by 2 before I could even find the game. Get it together baws.

And yet these games are maxed out with no restrictions. ESPN is stupid

Agree. They are young and they never gave up.

Bottom half of SEC had a pretty poor effort this weekend.

Im ready for LSU to whip up on the zags

Disagree. It wasn’t for lack of effort. La Tech kicked our arse and probably played the Hogs tougher than anyone else in the country this season. Florida is the only team that disappointed and went 2 and Q.

LSU has had some great freshman tandems. Crews/Morgan are special.

Cheap arse ESPN playing the covid card for not sending announcers to the actual game
I’m not saying that I disagree with your above statement because it’s absolutely about them being cheap asses.

But that isn’t how ^^ this works. ESPN uses the local school’s broadcast when possible for baseball games.

I think ESPN has realized during the pandemic how much money they can save not sending crews to 90% of games.
They'll still do it for big games in big sports, but I think you'll see a whole more of this going forward with local guys doing camerwork.

Nice run there by LSU...very aggressive on the bases but you don't make the last out at home

I wonder if this will be a turnoff for commentators? You’d have to think getting to see games around the country is a big part of the allure of the job. Sitting at home, watching it on TV, and talking with a buddy is something anyone can do

If you’re talking about announcing crews then yes. But ESPN doesn’t send out crews if you’re referring to production staff. They’ve always 3rd partied their productions….at least for the last 15 or so years.

For SEC football the only network that sends out their own actual crew is the CBS1 crew. They’re unionized from the top down and did the SEC on CBS(RIP) broadcasts. That’s the only production company to come through Mississippi that I never got the chance to crew.
CrossCreek, Kwokman, and there’s another one I can’t remember but they’re shitty and only used as a last resort. They also tend to not pay the local contract workers(I know from experience).

It's a good question.

Yes, just announcing crews.
