He seems to like the big stage. He does his best right when you’re starting to worry about him and he gets a really big start.

Good game and I promise it didn't feel that way to us.

Doyle had has worst performance of the year last outing vs Arkansas

I'd be surprised if he struggles as much as last time but we are in better shape with Wood being back to 100% or close to it. Should be a good game 2.

Gage Wood has been really good lately. It could be a tough spot to be in if you’re Doyle and it’s supposed to be your game.

Wood's got that dog in him too. He won't be looking to be upstaged. Could be good or bad for us. I have faith in him though, especially at home.

I saw a draft board that had him at 9th overall. I knew he was rising but didn't realize scouts were THAT high on him.

I never understood why he wasn’t a major draft prospect. Idk shite about projecting professional baseball talent but with Wood the talent has always been very obvious even to a casual fan.

The movement on everything he throws is violent. I kinda wish he'd stayed a secret for one more year.

Root is the Friday guy, but Wood at 100% is our best pitcher.

I think it owes a lot to a small sample size, early in the season, due to injury. Just in his short time back, though, I think he's opened some eyes.

Gaeckle only threw 25 today. Seems like all arms for both teams except for Phillips and Root would be available tomorrow and/or Monday

it seems somehow fitting that FSU baseball would be moved to a different ESPN channel to start in order to show the end of the Savannah Bananas game -

Good news on Gaeckle, I didn’t think he had to throw many pitches. The Wood / Gaeckle combination was very effective in the regional, maybe he can finish that game.

Root definitely got caught up in the moment with the crowd feeling the same way. That 10rc kid is a tool and deserves all the crap that’s thrown back at him.
