Player family tickets are given out inside the gate by the institutions. You have to be on the player/staffer’s list and present photo ID at the gate. I assume that’s what it’ll be like for the tournament.

I paid a GA I barely knew (got his number from a friend of mine) a hundred bucks to get in to Georgia Tech the day after the tornado in Atlanta in 08.

If you know the right people you’ll probably still be able to get in to this thing. Not many of these players have 4 people travel to these games, especially if it’s not in driving distance. There will be tickets to be had if it’s standard family ticket procedure.

So, this is legit? No fans for games in NCAA tourney?

You have to think every conference tourney has to follow their lead, just to be safe.

At this rate, I wouldn't be shocked if the whole thing gets canned this year.

I mean, I kind of get it. From the sounds of it, this virus isn't a big deal for young people. So healthy youngish people will not have bad symptoms and then infect and kill their grandparents/parents. That sounds awful.

Time will tell if this is a crazy overreaction or not.

Ridiculous.

This hysteria is just a conspiracy among the media, state governments, local governments, global health organizations, the NCAA, foreign governments, epidemiologists, the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve, numerous universities and local school systems, and a large number of people who committed suicide so their deaths could be blamed on the virus in order to make Trump look bad.

I’d say this is a great opportunity for local bars and entrepreneurs to have host the equivalent of huge hurricane parties ...

... but Houston’s mayor just canceled all city events through March. No clue how long their governmental arm will reach.

Good move if this is what happens. We need to keep the spread under control. We can't stop it from spreading at this point but we need to control how quickly it spreads and so things like this are good moves to help with that.

Exactly. Overreact now = less long term damage from exposure. I don't see how you could make a good argument against this.
