I will not sit silently on this
Wright Thompson and I stood as brothers together in the fight to get Colonel Reb and "Black" Bears ousted from Ole Miss lore
Our attention turns now to Norman, Oklahoma

“Utter pandemonium was the result,” former OU history professor William W. Savage Jr. said.
“The pictures in The Transcript of protestors waving posters and saying land run equals genocide and things like that, I can appreciate where they’re coming from, but land runs were not genocide. That’s just false,” OU professor Sterling Evans said. “I don’t mind that protesters are against the name Sooner and the land runs as a policy, the treatment of Indians in the big picture, of course.
“As a professor I teach the truth about that and I’m very sympathetic to what they’re saying. At the same time, it wasn’t genocide. There were not massive killings of people. That happened more with removal."
Unreal. Apologists for genocide on the OU campus. Still to this day.

What else can it be called? The Native population was given a death sentence by the theft of their land.

Did he really call them Indians instead of Native Americans? There are going to be some upset folks out there!

We also really need to stop the yearly genocide the Sooners face in the CFP.

Exactly my friend
I've contacted ESPN's Wright Thompson to bring immediate awareness to this issue and I hope we can get change by the end of this calendar year

That is correct sir. That's the level of hate that we're dealing with here.

Quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have read today, clearly some idiots have too much time on their hands.

The article states that the OU student who wrote the school's fight song, "Boomer Sooner", actually stole the tune from Yale's fight song? Interesting (UGA's teams were named after Yale due to founding Presidents of UGA were Yale graduates and UGA's North Campus was designed after Yale's campus).
I listened to Yale's fight song and it doesn't sound anything like "Boomer Sooner". Plus, Yale's fight song actually has words to it, unlike OU's constant repetitive, "Boomer Sooner, Boomer Sooner....".
Anyhow, give a listen to Yale's fight song below.

That's not the right song. Boomer Sooner was taken from "Boola Boola" which isn't their official fight song, but Yale's football team used it in 1901.
