There was still 74K there. Since spring games became a large part of the college football experience, Alabama routinely puts 70K or more in the seats. But after 12 years of this, it depends on a lot of factors to fill the stadium up for a scrimmage. It was still a perfect weekend in Tuscaloosa.

Nope. Saturday's game. Your upper decks were sparse. Was everyone in the restroom?

Alabama leads the nation in spring game attendance over the last nine years with a total of 733,532 fans and an average of 81,503 fans per game during that period. The largest A-Day crowd in school history came in 2011 (92,310). In head coach Nick Saban's first year of 2007, the stadium was at full capacity prior to expansion (92,138).

Props to Nebraska (holy shite), and Kentucky (damn good turnout for a spring football game at a basketball school).

Enjoyed it immensely. It was great to see new players and celebrate life with the rest of the DawgNation. Recruits really got an eyeful. Expecting some big time commitments soon.

QB competition between McCarron and Simms that year.
Didn’t think it would matter earlier in the week, but I would say Tua being injured took some air out. But still had a great atmosphere on Saturday for a practice.

I know. That construction cost us another 93,000 spring game. But it will be worth it. The new locker rooms, recruiting lounge and other new additions will be world class.

I wouldn't doubt it if the spring game attendance is larger than the home opener in a few months. Kinda embarrassing to start off with Austin Peay

Times change, elit. And they are changing big time. UGA is breathing down your neck and we aren't letting up. Get ready!

It will be a sell out. Always is. Georgia always sells out - even for the Austin Peays
Guess we all can't schedule the Citadel. That Nov game gonna be rough!

Is this accurate? Embarassing for a member of the Big 6 to only have 22K at spring game. Especially when their QB position is wide open. How the might have fallen
I don't think LSU has ever broken 30K for its spring game. As much as LSU has tried to get fans interested, there are just too much other things going on. I knew of three crawfish boils going on that day among just my friends and family, and that's how it's been several years in a row.
And sorry, but a crawfish boil beats out a spring "game" 10 out of 10 times.

To be fair, we aren't allowed access to the entire stadium like it seems others are. We are allowed seating to under half of the stadium - half of lower bowl and no upper sections. I will say however that LSU fans have also been given no reason to get excited about this team. Scared for the future.

Can you imagine 55,000 Tillmans in one place?
I would never attend a Spring Game. I don't want to watch practice.
Clemson's spring game turnout is probably the highest per student and highest per alumnus among the P5 colleges. Clemson has less students than every college in the SEC except Vanderbilt.
But a lot of those people didn't attend Clemson.
55,000 Tillmans in one place would be an overdose of handsome good looks.

I'm don't think any U.K. fan believes that number is accurate. Admission is free but you need a ticket ordered online. The count is total tickets ordered (still impressive for U.K.) not actual people through the gate.

MSU would have had more than 36K but we played a double header vs Arkansas and the second baseball game started around the same time. Lot of people at the baseball game because of the possible sweep.

This is normal for them, it's not just the Scott Frost hype. I'm no fan of the Huskers but they treat the spring game like a top 5 match-up every year, even when they suck.
Best spring game touchdown ever a few years ago when the kid with cancer ran for a touchdown.

Due to the online fees, it came out to about $5 apiece, which is pretty standard for any spring game not taking place in Tuscaloosa.
I've been to the past several spring games and I actually thought the attendance numbers weren't real inflated. It was packed in the Paddock club area, they were just inside. Overall, the administration had to be pleased with the turnout.
