You're free to count whatever portion by whatever sport you want...NCAA says the Hogs have 48. You can't beat that. Ever.

Who cares about the rest. It's less than Bama

Roll Tide. Still the King

Bama is not even in the top half of the conference when it comes to natties. I know all they care about is football and even their 18 is mythical. Seriously, UGA was counted as 1.5 but they have 18. Gumps gonna gump.

Let's list them then, shall we. Also the year of the most recent title.

Florida
1. Football - 2008
2. Men's Basketball - 2007
3. Baseball - 2017
4. Softball - 2015
5. Gymnastics - 2015
6. Men's Tennis - 2021
7. Women's Tennis - 2017
8. Men's Golf - 2001
9. Women's Golf - 1986
10. Men's Swimming & Diving - 1984
11. Women's Swimming & Diving - 2010
12. Men's Track & Field - 2019
13. Women's Track & Field - 1992
14. Women's Soccer - 1998

Still need Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Lacrosse and Cross Country if you want to separate that from track. I could see it in Volleyball and Lacrosse, but we will never win anything in WBB.

Also could say 15 team titles if you want to separate indoor and outdoor track. Women have only won the indoor title, men have won both.

That’s my contention, that GA and FL are the most historically well rounded athletic departments in the league. The notion that UGA only cares about football is patently absurd. We have sucked in basketball because the admin doesn’t value it. But GA dies at least have a Final 4 appearance and an NBA HOF (Nique) which some still have not achieved.

College basketball has been dominated historically by universities in state capitols or urban centers (Indiana & Kansas notwithstanding)

That one trick is the king sport the SEC is KNOWN for, and Alabama rules the SEC (and really the nation) in that sport.

Congrats on the lesser titles

By the way, Coach Saban will win at least 3 more titles at Alabama before retiring.

I would throw LSU in the mix. Multiple NCs in Baseball, Gymnastics, and Track & Field.
I'm eager to see Georgia's Gymnastics team return to what it once was. Baseball, too. I'm also really stoked that our T&F programs are relevant nationally.

I'm no alter whatever that means.

Just stating the facts.

I see a lot of jealously in here, but I don't blame opposing fans. I'd be jealous too of Alabama

The facts are Alabama is the King of Sports
