Neither the AP or UPI (coaches) polls list Ole Miss as ‘62 champions. The Rebels have never won a wire service national championship. They have won a FWAA title in 1960.
The Football Writers Association of America awarded a title from 1954 to 2013.

And if you wanna claim titles like most other schools do we'd have 5 in that time frame.

That one’s obviously the headliner, but an underrated one is OU going 26 years without a title.
Considering it’s one of the most decorated programs in CFB history and it’s not like a Nebraska situation where they’ve just been awful for 20 years. Since that 2000 title, they’ve played in 2 BCS title games and been to the CFP 5 times.
Honestly reminds be of the stretch Georgia went through from 2002-2021. One of the best programs in the country, but just haven’t found a way to break through.
