Baseball should be held at a stadium where real championships are won, Busch Stadium.

That sounds amazing, but it would probably be a LOT easier to get a AAA team to adjust its schedule around the SEC tourney than Major League Baseball. But if Mizzou could pull it off, I'd go in a heartbeat.

I was very impressed with Dallas when I visited last year. I was surprised at how nice and modern it was for such a large city.

Good one.

And it look like a Marlins game in there. Having it at a major league stadium is a terrible idea

Great move by the SEC. The party last year was great. All the streets around broadway were blocked off, it was like SEC Mardi Gras.

I was only there for a few days for a conference, but it seemed nice. I've visited other large cities like Chicago, and let's just say they tend to show their age a little more. My nephew's in-laws live there, and I know he likes visiting there.

I have been driving from Elm Hill just off Briley Pky to Bridgestone downtown for months now.

There are some food joints by you that are not bad. Did you try Darfons? Kale salad was pretty tasty last time I was there.

This is stupid. It's going to make tickets expensive as frick. The Georgia Dome and Superdome are both huge, so it keeps ticket prices lower. This will be a scalpers wet dream.

For living and making money I would prefer Dallas or Austin.

ha ha; i know lots of people in nashville that makes lots of money and as far as living dallas nor austin can touch what nashville has. it is one great city to live in. i lived there for 10 yrs nd am still pissed my company transferred me even though they threw much money my way. the climate is perfect, the people are the friendliest in the south, much friendlier than texas, and the crime rate is uber low.

I personally like it being in an actual basketball arena. It makes for a far better atmosphere

If a Vol fan can pull that off without setting himself on fire in the process, I'll bring the marshmallows. Otherwise, I'll just kick back and enjoy watching the only pro sports team in the state with a pulse in the nicest arena in the southeast.

Nashville is a great choice...Memphis would have been a bad choice, doesn't compare to Nashville.

I never said Memphis was a good choice for the basketball tourney. It has a vastly superior and much newer arena, but it isn't as nice a destination and doesn't have as many hotels. Honestly, neither the Forum or Bridgestone is ideal when the SEC can play in any of 3 nice dome stadiums and make a ton more money.

I did say that Memphis would be a hell of a lot better than Nashvegas for baseball. Their minor league stadium sucks, and you'd have the same parking problems there as in Memphis.

elaborate then please

outside of the "horrible" traffic

BTW I lived downtown for a few years so I will surely verify anything you say

I know of the negative aspect of Nashville

but if you think Nashville is over priced as opposed to Dallas than I need to meet your pot dealer
it's typical "city" prices

A hell of a lot more people than care about a POS hockey team that can't make the playoffs.

You might check this link for a little confirmation:

ESPN the Magazine's 2013 Sports Franchise Rankings

According to a lot of fan polling, the Memphis Grizzlies are now the top rated franchise in the US. The Preds are at least respectable at #38. The Titans come in at a well deserved #103 out of 122. Enjoy another season of no playoffs, bad coaching, and more poor offseason decision making.
