NASA issued an announcement for proposals for use of the undeveloped and underutilized land near Saturn Lane on June 9, 2023, and has just completed negotiations with the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents to formalize the lease agreement. The parcel is outside of Johnson’s controlled access area and adjacent to its main campus. NASA will lease the land to the A&M System for an initial period of 20 years, with two additional 20-year options, for a potential total of 60 years.

So basically NASA agreed to lease A&M some underutilized land?

Print the cups I guess.

Probably something stupid like a $5 Trillion project to produce a couple thousand pounds of useless rocks from Mars in the next 20 years.

Can we just do away with the term “flagship”. It’s dated.

Proud to be part of the university pushing this country towards the future. Hopefully this inspires universities in the south east to improve. A great day for A&M and a great day for the USA.

I don’t understand this in totality but a friend who is a retired Air Force Colonel was courting NASA and Space Force regarding an extended partnership with the university. I believe this is one of those steps.

Pretty cool for the university.

They literally have jerseys that say "Texas Aggies" on them in hopes that people will mistake them for the University of Texas

They're used to pining for attention
