And this is the B.S. the UAA loves to hear. Guarantee he’ll be back in 2025 with more than 4 wins this year smh

There is a possibility that if Florida Football loses to Kentucky Football this season, you will have a roster of players who have never beaten Kentucky.

Georgia is quite literally proving him otherwise.

Oh wait Florida fans know that already. He needs Urban to advise the type of kids he needs to recruit.

Give Napier 2-3 more years. Florida will regret pulling the trigger too early on this guy.

If Gator fans will give him a break, he might just fool us. Sure, he needs to win but more importantly show improvement. His first two teams were 8-4 teams that found a way to lose, this year they need to find a way to win.
Go Gators!

If Florida is struggling midseason, I could see him gone. He has just not done enough there to make anyone happy

the uaa likes him because he talks about “building character” etc

And some high level boosters like him because he kisses their asses and gives them access to the program

He has done plenty to please the people who make decisions on whether to keep him or fire him

He’ll be here barring an epic 2-3 win disaster of a season (which is definitely in play)

If I were a Gator fan, I would be frustrated. Who knows, maybe he can surprise this season. He needs 8 wins to move on to next season

If that’s the case, Georgia would be winless

fans (who care about winning, and not Disney Gator sunshine pumpers,) are frustrated

I agree 8-9 wins should be the floor but the admin and big boosters don’t care about winning

They just want a nice guy coach who kisses the boosters asses and Billy checks all the boxes

Stricklin publicly proclaims to buy into his “5 year rebuild” plan so he might get until 2026 without serious improvement, although I think he’ll need to show something next season if this one is another losing season

Reminds me so much of LSU before Saban/Bertman/Emmert started focusing on winning. Previous administrations only really cares about turning a profit instead of pouring more into resources to become relevant. It's infuriating.

I think Napier would have done well at a regular program. Going straight to Florida was doomed from the start.

Hell, give him a decade. He's doing a fine job.

I mean, a roster that has never beaten Kensucky?

That's just too cool.

They've beaten Tennessee though.

Actually, Josh has a .500 record against Napier, and the roster overall has a 3-1 record against Tennessee

I am past frustration and now indifferent. I gave him a pass after his first season, but not after his second. He is Will Muschamp without the badass defense. His strength is supposed to be recruiting, but recruiting isn't as important as it was when he was hired with the new portal rules. He is a terrible gameday coach. If you look at his record at ULL, he rarely beat teams by a wide margin even though he had a talent advantage over most of them.

It was a bad hire and we need to move on ASAP, but I doubt we will. Just like Muschamp, the admin likes him, so he will get a year or two longer than he should.

At least Muschamp had the defense (as you noted) and an 11 win season his second year that could’ve suggested he had something going on even though lots of signs showed that he didn’t

Put it this way, in muschchamps second season alone he had as many wins as Gaypier has total through TWO seasons
