Auburn = Earl Brown

And it's not even close.
Doug Barfield was Knute Rockne compared to Brown.

The unusual circumstances that led to the necessity of the Shula hire (Price departing AFTER Spring training) allowed me to cut him some slack, compared to the fact we voluntarily and with time to decide hired DuBose...

Dubose and Shula are about even.

Technically, yes.

But since Coach Barfield is a great person and a fine Southern Gentleman, I'm overruling your vote and replacing him with that little retarded bastard, Terry Bowden.

Ray Goff isn't it. He wasn't good, but he won 10 games in 1992 and could recruit lights out. We had Andre Hastings, Hines Ward, Garrison Hearst, Eric Zeier, Shannon Mitchell, etc. because of Goff. And, even though it's not coaching related, he won SEC POTY in 76 en route to an SEC title.

So my answer is JOhnny Griffith, who finished pretty well below .500 in his career, unlike Goff.

Archer was 27-18-1. Hallman was 16-28.

LSU fans can have a difference opinion on pretty much anything to do with the who, what and why's of LSU football.....but this is the one issue where there is virtually ZERO difference of opinion.

In that case, why haven't any of you LSU fans offered up Crowton?

I watched the 4th quarter of the 94 LSU/AU game for about the 20th time last weekend and I still can't understand why in the frick he continued to throw the ball. The only explanation that I can think of that makes a shred of sense is he must have had money on the game.

As pathetic as he was as a HC, he was just as bad as a person, cheating on his wife & beautiful kids, just a morally bankrupt person who coached football as well: Curley Hallman by a landslide.

Curley Hallman hands down. I mean think about how can you even hire someone named after one of the 3 stooges.
