Ever since Jimbo took aim at Nick Saban in that press conference, Texas A&M is 9-10.
You'd think a fanbase would discover a little humility in that, but that's just not the aggie way apparently.
2021: preseason No. 6 - ends up unranked and publicly ran away from Wake Forest in a bowl game. Doesn't matter. Still talked shite all offseason.
2022: preseason No. 6 + "best recruiting class ever" - ends up unranked and doesn't even qualify for a bowl game after finishing dead last in the SEC and losing to a 6-6 App State team at home. Doesn't matter. Still talked shite all offseason.
2023: preseason No. 23 (somehow) + fans talked all offseason and even for a few weeks after getting trounced by Miami about how "this was the year" - currently unranked after being brought back to reality by Alabama and Tennessee.
Moral of the story: don't talk shite if your university has literally never had reason to talk shite in the first place. Otherwise, the aggie jokes are going to keep writing themselves:

If I had the option of LSU losing to A&M every season but winning the West, I'd take that every time.
