Natural grass and the fences are deeper than Tennessee's.

Ouch...you got UT fans there, didn't you?

BTW...it's also deeper than:

Swayze Field
Dudley Nobel
Baum Walker
Alfred A. McKethan

Compared to Alex Box it is:
Same on foul lines
10' deeper in RC & LC
5' shorter in Center

Compared to Foley Field it is:
Shorter on Left Foul Line
10' deeper in LC & RC
5' shorter in Center
16' longer on Right Foul Line

For Reference...Johnny Reagan Field Dimensions:

Right Foul Line - 330
RC - 375
Center - 400
LC - 375
Left Foul Line - 330

Oh...and the fences are 10' high except for dead center, where it rises to 16'. So...this would be the hardest field for hitters in the SEC...and, yes...that would include Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The head coach mows the baseball field himself, to give an idea of the school's support for baseball

Not sure Coastal Carolina would agree, the yr they won CWS was pretty unexpected

Coastal has a damn solid little baseball program. Murray State is a much bigger surprise.

To be fair, Tennessee has the smallest field in the conference so it doesn't take much.

Fresno may have been a bigger dog the year they won it. Murray State doesn't necessarily beat you by home run. They are excellent at hitting down the line and the gap. They had to come close to a regional record for doubles in Oxford. One player hit 4 in a single game.

Southwest Missouri State in 2003 will always be my favorite.

Now they’re trying to church themselves up and go by Missouri State

Same year LSU fans did the victory lap for UNC-Wilmington in the regional IIRC. That day created a narrative that still lasts.

Their facilities are probably better than Mizzou.

four times in their history. Two of those in the 1970s.

The last one being my Junior yr at good ole MSU...

The field at that time was located in the middle of campus, had grass amphitheater seating with no bleachers, and damn sure no consession stands. The players prepped the field.
