And were well compensated for doing so, in ANY other field doing this would get your and your new employers arse sued off.

Companies hiring employees away from their competitors is very common. Example: A guy gets hired away and he then cherry pick hires a few more to come with him. Sometimes there are non-compete agreements tho.

You must not work in sales. I'm sure he's referencing a non-compete. But nonetheless, I don't care if Mullen does try to flip them. I'm confident Moorhead has already eased their mind based on his reputation.

News flash for ya Tide fan, probably not best to publicly refer to student athletes as employees.

Are you really surprised there are a few kids he'd like to coach at uf? Don't be ridiculous.

I think this is also a by-product on early signing period. Right now Mullen only has about 3 weeks before then. It would be tough to build a relationship with brand new players tho him in that period of time. He dosn't even have the normal few months new coaches get to put together their first class. So it is almost leads to having to go after the players you have relationships with in order to salvage something in the early signing period.

I totally agree, even though it's not uncommon. It's a chicken shite move and there's no vindication for it.

Wait so he's calling State recruits, but is now in one of the most fertile recruiting states with the best prospects in the nation! Makes sense!

Obviously, State and Florida have different target lists, but I'm sure there were a few recruits that both schools were already talking too.

Self preservation of nothing else. Mullen knows that Guidry and Heath are the missing pieces to State's puzzle. If he keeps them away from State it helps FU overall plus makes it less likely he gets embarrassed in Sept when he comes back.

This is a good point.

What it shows is these are athletes students, not student-athletes.

Sure I will change my entire academic plan because I like the coach but I am a student first!

Not knocking them just pointing out the truth that everybody probably knows already
