It sure feels that way to me. I honestly want to see what everyone thinks. I know it's a business, and but your really screwing over a former employer.

And this doesn't apply to getting fired or pushed out. If they are forcing you out poach all you want.

And this really isn't a melt. I am open to changing my opinion if I am wrong

He would be dumb if he didn't, at least the best ones.

Up until the other day they were his recruits. He, or his team, put the work in, why not take them with him? It's pretty common.

Moorhead isn't. Does that make the state hire look not as good?

Did we hire a dumbass?

Nature of the business. Plus it's not like he intends on going back anyway.

Even if he did, I can assure you state would not mind him poaching recruits from his previous stop

This isn’t the Big 10 pussy. There’s no gentlemens agreement. You recruit the best players you can.

That is part of it, I honestly don't know how common it is when a coach leaves on good terms

Mullen is good at evaluating talent for his needs. And he recruits the right guys for his system. Which a lot of coaches are forced to do, who aren't at top-flight programs.

Patterson does at TCU. Mullen did it at MSU. Kinda have to, and he's gotten quite good at it.

So, I wouldn't ding the guy. He'll bring his system and brand of football to Florida, and he'll try to bring his guys.

I personally wouldn't get too upset about it, because your guy now needs to get the right guy for his system. And Mullen's leftovers might not work. Obviously, I'm sure they're all good players -- but you know what I mean.

Well a big one I can think of at the moment is Alex Hornibrook, the starting QB for Wisconsin. Chryst was HC at Pitt where Hornibrook had all but committed, but Chryst left for Madison and took Hornibrook with him. It happens.

I hate to be that guy but it’s much easier to get a recruit to flip from Mississippi State to Florida than it is from Penn St to Mississippi State. Not to mention it’s the previous head coach trying to flip folks and not the previous OC. Definitely not the same situations.

If Moorehead didn’t spend his very first minute on the phone to those same recruits, then y’all made a bad hire.

Yep, it’s extremely common. Bielema basically flipped Alex Collins from Wisconsin and Sam Pittman flipped Dan Skipper from going to Tennessee. Those were two of our best players of the last 5 years.

Didn't kiffen kinda get blasted for doing it to UT or was it just some UT fans crying?
