Everyone does it, I’d be upset if I was a UF fan... shouldn’t he be aiming a little higher... they didn’t hire him to turn them into MSU, they hired him to turn them back into Florida

Moorhead isn't. Does that make the state hire look not as good?

Did we hire a dumbass?

Heck no. He's very smart. I think the B1G does have some "rules." And since he wasn't PSU's HC, he may not want to rustle Franklin, who gave him his last job.

Probably.

I actually remember exactly what you're speaking of. He definitely tried to bring some guys with him to USC. I think Nu'Keese Richardson was one of the big ones.

The way he did UT had a ton to do with the outrage. Also, i think....UT finally started recruiting well again and the guys Kiffin was trying to move were bad apples.

IMO, not the same.

Didn't Tennessee just go two straight years without a single player drafted? That hasn't happened in Starkville since the 1930's

Kiffin was a little different and much shadier. He was suspected of recruiting for USC before he had officially switched jobs. Also, there was a coach (Orgeron?) trying to keep early enrollees from going to class so that they could try to flip to Southern Cal while they were already on campus in Knoxville.

I know Franklin pissed off a lot of Vandy folks, myself included, when magically 3 or 4 Vandy commits who had not claimed PSU offers previously flipped to Penn State immediately. In fact, 2 of them flipped within an hour of Franklin's introduction in Happy Valley. The sticking point was that the change took place during a recruiting dead period, so it seems very likely that Franklin had already said "if I go to Penn State, I'm bringing you with me," which crosses the line in my opinion since you are effectively working against your current employer.

With all of that said, it doesn't look like Mullen is doing anything like what either Franklin or Kiffin did. We aren't in a dead period, so he can make contact with them. It doesn't appear that he worked against MSU until after he had officially changed jobs. It may not be the nicest action, but it's normal and a generally accepted occurrence. Lots of players do commit to coaches more than a school, even though it's not the smartest way to pick a college.

So you did have a player taken in the 2015 or 2016 draft? Who was it?

Hell its been almost ten years since State has gone one year without a drafted player. Tennessee football is in a bad place, and according to the ever growing list of coaches turning down yalls job, nobody sees it turning around any time soon.

It was 6, which is an impressive year, to be sure. Hell, it almost got y'all even with Mississippi State over the last 5 years or so, but not quite

Mullen took recruits from our class to Miss State when becoming the head coach as well.

It's simply part of the game. Not a fun part, but part of it. We are going after one of your top prospects at WR last I heard. Not sure whom else we have offered had a busy past two days.

It seems a bit shady to me because the last employer paid for the time and effort to evaluate and and contact that recruit and the last employer paid to establish the relationship between coach, recruit, and school. That said, it's also the price of doing business. You get some, you lose some, you take some from others and others take some from you.

So far one 3* lineman has flipped, several more offers have been extended.

Not sure how to feel about this. I’ve seen coaches leave before and make a point not to recruit the same players.

Maybe you should follow the New Orleans Saints more and their potential “Rookie of the Year!”

Stop being a bitch and accept that Mississippi State sucks and will always suck. Just like Arkansas.
