But he won 5 out of his last 6 against Arkansas. This is kind of like a guy who coaches 5 year olds in flag football armchair quarterbacking Nick Saban is it not?

In 9 years at Miss St he played just 2 P5 schools (GT '09, Okie Light '13) OOC and lost to both.
Miss St then schedules a P5 team every year from 2018-2029 and he immediately bolts. Coincidence? I think not.

Texas is so desperate to find a winning HC, some of their fans on BON are wishing they had hired Mullen instead of Herman, unaware of Mullen's record against ranked opponents.

Miss State is historically as bad as Vandy.
Name a Vandy coach that's done that well. Or a Miss State coach. Or a UK coach in the modern era. Don't say Jackie that guy was good for a few years when the West was absolutely terrible and won the West with four losses. He isn't Mullens level.
I know the rant has really dumb football fans, but expecting him to beat teams like Georgia, Bama, etc at a school as bad as Miss State is a ridiculous notion.
The fact that anyone cares about Miss State at all, is because Mullen made the program worth something. Man is a great coach. Now he has a great program. If he can win 8-10 at State. He can win titles at Florida.

It would be interesting to see who the coaches were that Mullen beat up on. Bert is one, I bet there are other "impressive" coaches he beat at these unranked schools.

arkansas fans are so desperate not to have another school surpass them in relevancy its hilarious. sorry to say, we have been more relevant than arkansas for a while now. go play in the sand box with vandy and uk

Even great coaches can only do so much sadly. Saban couldn't win the Big Ten at Michigan State either. Miles couldn't win the Big 12 with Oklahoma State.
