Mullen did this for many more years. Franklin also never got ranked inside the top ten. Never went to a BCS bowl either.

Apples and oranges. No one expects any HC at Vandy to achieve Franklin's level of success. Step aside from your bias for one moment and tell us you believe Mullen is a better HC than Franklin.

Its always the schools that can't beat State that talks the most shite about State. I wonder why? It's been over a year since Arkansas has beat State in any sport.

No one expects to go at Miss State either. Vandy and Miss State are literally the same level of bad. So how do you not understand this? Miss State is the Vandy of the West. So how is Franklin more impressive when he did LESS than Mullen at the same lvl of school? It's actually apples to apples. Because both schools have historically been the worst in the SEC. Some consider them actually worse than Vandy

People don't have common sense.
Spurrier did what at UF? Yet at USCe not a single SEC title.
Why?
Because USCe can only go so far despite how good the coach is in the SEC. Same with Mullen and the worst program possibly in the SEC. The fact that people think he should have done more taking over a 2-4 win team and making it a bowl team in the best division in football is past absurd.

Vandy is uniquely dissimilar from the rest of the conference with respect to academic standards, athletic department structure and budget. If you're looking for "the same level of bad", you might as well lump in Ole Miss, Arkansas and Kentucky.
I don't recall Franklin running out the clock when his team was trailing by one score, or calling 24 designed QB runs averaging 2 ypc.
