The man is a national treasure and he got royally screwed at Texas Tech.
I don’t know if still does this, but when players at Texas Tech missed class for an unacceptable reason, they had to make up the work sitting at a desk placed in the logo at midfield in their stadium. If it was raining they were expected to bring an umbrella. If it was 20 degrees they were expected to wear a big coat. They had few people to miss class.
I also loved what he said in his book, that there were two “offenses” that meant immediate dismissal from his football team, no discussion or appeals: lying, because that meant you couldn’t be trusted; and hitting a woman, because that meant you weren’t a man.

It was tough against a tough defense. Just gotta get better in the red zone next year. We were as bad as anyone in that area.

He’s a tough runner, and I hate to lose him. Something happened behind the scenes here. I’m not sure what to think. Nobody should doubt Leach’s ability to be an a-hole and say something completely unnecessary and vindictive when confronted with bad news. I like and support Leach, but I know he’s a mixed bag.

All coaches can be. That's part of coaching.
I read some of this and saw former players blasting this kid for putting stuff out there like this. One person said that he was hurt during practice and the former staff stated a lot worse to him while down on the field.
And I don't think Leach was referring to physical toughness.

I largely agree. It’s just a fact of the way groups of people have to function that the underlings are required to take the boss’s abuse at times and cannot reciprocate. It’s not oppression or injustice; it’s just group dynamics and the structure of organizations. There are major breaches that need the whistle blown sometimes, but calling you weak is not one of those breaches. Dillon shouldn’t have done that.

Basically he told the whole world that he is leaving cuz Mike called him a pussy (probably to motivate him or something I guarantee) which proves to the whole world he is in fact not coachable and may be a pussy.
